What God Takes Away Thoughts are flashing through my mind Memories in my life of a long ago time A picture of mom dad smiling I can see As I recall how much they loved me. Many chapters in my life have passed Each one I remember is better than the last Until I reached the chapter dad had to leave Tearfully I remember how much mom grieved. Later the chapter arrived mom left me too A chapter it was I wish was possible to undo Afterwards I felt lost knowing I was left alone Later I found out my thoughts were wrong. I met someone who took my loneliness away A girl whose with me in the chapter I'm living today I believe God planned our destinies a long time ago What God takes away He replaces I now know. Ralph L.
